Would you always know if an online home business you have been eyeing out is a scam? Do you know how to spot an online scam and how to protect yourself from online fraud?

One of the telling signs that a home business is a scam is the absence of any contact information such as a phone number or an email address. And if it asks for your money through Paypal or Alert Pay, chances are high that you are heading for trouble.

Another sign of an online scam is when you are told that your system is totally automated, and that you have to to absolutely nothing to make money. This is bogus, and there is no such thing as making money by doing nothing.

You are also being led into the online scam game when it doesn’t actually give you a product save for a replicated website. Sure, it works for some, but only for those who have a huge mailing list, or for those who actually started these programs. You will just end u throwing away your money, so you’d better save it for something worthwhile.

Another sign of a scam, is if the business is promising you that you will make money in that same day or even week. They are appealing to your desire to get rich quick, and most likely the website will have dollar bills flashing all over the place. This smells of a scam a mile away.

Offers of great leverage of a small amount of money, for example leveraging $25 into $50,000 is obviously an online scam. Embarrassing as it is, but I would honestly say that I got involved in something like this once and learned, so trust me on this one. This is simply a small pyramid scheme that will not work.

Stay away from online businesses that claim to help you get rich, but have very cheap and poorly made websites. If they cannot even afford a decent looking website, run away from them at all costs because most probably they are in most need of YOUR money!

There are other ways of determining whether the company you’re dealing with is a legitimate business opportunity or a business scam. But nowadays, there are more scams out there than legitimate ones so buyer…be aware!
