It has been said that the world today moves at a fast and furious pace. Phrases such as “eat or be eaten” and “survival of the fittest” become the common mantras of a lot of people. Each day is a struggle for survival and dominance. They believe the best way to live life is to be on the fast track. These people, without a doubt, have never been to Tennessee.

Life in the State of Tennessee does not adhere to these concepts as the factors that make living life worthwhile. Instead, we believe that life is to be enjoyed and savored at a relaxing pace. By savoring the moment, while at the same time not being idle, you get to see the true value of life.

So rather than the instant gratification of many urban hobbies, the people of Tennessee are into a more relaxed past time. We believe that if you will set your mind on something, it should be something with which you can see the finished product. Simply put, we believe that the pursuit of crafting is the best way to pass the time.

The type of crafts that you make is up to you; it could be an elaborate piece of art using various materials, or it could be focused on one major material like carved wood. I’ve even seen someone make miniature sculptures via baked clay; while such a thing is rare; it certainly is within your rights to do so.

Once you have decided on the type of craft that you want to have, spend as much time as you want in perfecting the craft. It may take months or years, depending on the person. Don’t worry about the time lost; as you spent it mastering something you want, it wasn’t wasted at all. And then, when you’re ready, go to a craft show in Tennessee and show us your skill.
