Spray tanning is the best way to get your tan easily and quickly. It is a great alternative to sun tanning. But there are a few things you need to know before you head for a spray tan in order for you to get a successful one.

If you don’t want to have bad experience with spray tanning then it’s a good idea to prepare yourself the right way before you get it.

The most important and first step you should take is exfoliate yourself to remove any layer of dead skin, this will help a lot because it will allow the spray to reach your surface and not wash away easily every time you shower.

If you have in mind to shave or wax your legs, it’s advisable to do it before you spray tan because it can cause some of the tan to be removed as you remove your hair. This is expected to happen if you use a solution that contains a bronzer.

This happens especially if the solution you use contains a bronzer, if not and it’s a clear solution then the chances are that this won’t happen.

Remove any makeup, perfume or deodorant you are wearing in order to allow the spray tan to do it’s job without any interference by other products which will prevent it from reaching your skin.

If you are planning on getting your spray tan in a spray tanning booth then you will need to follow the instructions given. The workers will inform you of the positions you will need to stand will getting it done.

There is this special cream that spray tanning salons offer you that you’re supposed to put on your nails and heals before you get in the booth.

It’s also a good idea to have your hair covered. However, not all salons offer you hair covers, you might need to get one yourself.

There are also some safety precautions you need to be aware of when spray tanning. It is known to be safe as it is approved by the FDA but it can become very dangerous if you inhale it.

After you’ve finished spray tanning, wear loose clothes if you don’t want some of the tan to rub off which is exactly what will happen if you wear anything too tight or fitted.

It’s only natural for your spray tan to begin fading little by little, it start getting fainter after every wash and eventually your skin will be back to normal. But if you prepare yourself well, it will be harder for the tan to be removed and instead of lasting 3-5 days it’ll last you 7-10 days.
