Boating and lounging on the sandy beaches are huge here. With a state that is surrounded by over 3000 miles of beaches you know they are in big demand. If you love the water and warm beach sand between your toes than you will definitely want to visit Michigan.

Maybe you would prefer more indoor activities like the theater or shopping. Detroit has some of the best and biggest malls around. Plus some of the best theaters and sporting events happen around Detroit. Detroit is more than just auto industry, it is where the mecca of arts and entertainment are happening in the eastern side of the country. Detroit probably ranks third next to New York and Chicago for the trendier crowd.
