The success of my programs are hinged at least in part to client feedback. I may receive an inadvertent question or statement but primarily it’s because of similar stories or feedback from many people that I have the opportunity to connect this information form new ideas.
One situation that has arisen is the number of people who have advised that they suffer from fibromyalgia and also from IBS (irritable bowel syndrome.)
Also supporting this, are studies which reveal that up to 70% of those suffering from fibromyalgia are also afflicted with IBS.
How is it possible that two conditions that seem so separate would be related?
Fibromyalgia affects both the muscles and connective tissues. The primary symptoms tend to be chronic pain in those areas as well as extreme pain when touched even softly.
Additional symptoms associated with fibromyalgia include: extreme fatigue, problems sleeping, difficulty breathing and finding it difficult to swallow.
IBS describes a number different conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract. Some know it as “spastic colon” and may include diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain and bloating.
Although these illnesses seem to have nothing in common, they actually do. For one, there is no known organic cause. Stress however, is believed to be a major contributing factor for each.
In addition, both problems have a history of not being considered as actual medical conditions by physicians. People suffering from these illnesses have had to suffer health care professionals suggesting that’s is all in the person’s head.
Research does indicate though that both of these problems may be psychological in origin.
Please note that this does not mean that one is somehow imagining the pain. In fact, this same research reveals that people who suffer fibromyalgia and IBS have a heightened sense of pain. In other words, people who would not usually register stimuli as pain will register it if suffering from IBS or fibromyalgia.
Add to this, the tendency for those suffering from both problems to also suffer an over 30% increase in pain symptoms.
My Fibromyalgia Program is all natural and I highly recommend it as it has helped so many others. I also welcome any comments regarding how this program has helped with IBS symptoms if you are struggling with this condition in addition to fibromyalgia.
