The construction of a landing page is vital when starting a business on-line. Sometimes a page is doing an alright job, causing neglect. When you want to increase the amount of sales volume, you should consider split testing a landing page. The first thing that needs done, is to pick apart the entire page. Make sure the page expresses what is intended. A successful split test will show exactly how well a landing page converts into sales.

The goal of the split test is to make a page better than it originally was. Be sure of which adjustments will need to be made, and stick with them.

You want your landing page to have the option to adjust and readjust when needed. Make sure it is fairly simple to make adjustments.

Focus on the first thing a visitor will see. The line at the top of the page. Write this as imaginative as possible, to ensure the reader will continue to the end of the page. Then use a type of font that is interesting, holding the reader a little while longer. If the content is not well written, but it is the best you can do, try some emoticons, or other tools available to spice up the page a little.

Create several different styles of landing pages and locate them on the same domain. Then get a set of Ad words to drive the controlled amount of activity to the sites. Track what activity goes to which site, and record the findings. Use the site with the most activity.

When a landing page is split tested, the information will let you know how well your hard worked has paid off. Your preparation will be rewarded by a higher profit margin, when these tools are used effectively.
