Palm Beach Airport is located 4km west of downtown West Palm Beach and just 6km west of Palm Beach. It is adjacent to Interstate Highway 95 and is easily accessible from anywhere in Palm Beach County. Boca Raton is approximately 30km to the south and Jupiter is only 22km to the north.

Palm Beach Airport handles over six million passengers every year, with 25 aircraft gates and a Customs & Immigration section which can handle 300 passengers per hour. The 560,000 square foot light and modern terminal has a concession shopping mall running the length of the building, three passenger concourses and and a new landscaped road system which leads to separate levels of the building for arriving and departing passengers.

If you are landing at Palm Beach Airport then once you have cleared customs you will arrive in the baggage reclaim area. The distance from leaving the aircraft and through security is relatively short, but if you think you will require a wheelchair or assistance make sure you organise this with the airline when you book your ticket.

If you are planning on hiring a car to get around, then it is advisable to book in advance as rent a car services often offer better deals if you pre-book a vehicle. It also ensure that you get the car you want and saves time on completing paperwork for a hire car when you land at Palm Beach Airport. Seven major car hire companies are located in the baggage reclaim area of the terminal building on level one.

Palm Beach Transportation provides taxis and limousines from the airport. They available from the transportation desks at each end of the terminal building on level 1 with the journey to downtown West Palm Beach around 4km. It is worth agreeing the fare with the taxi driver before you set off for any journey.

If you prefer to travel on public transport, then you can catch a shuttle bus to West Palm Beach to connect with the Tri-Rail service at 203 South Tamarind Avenue which operates trains to Miami. Palmtran buses offer regular services throughout Palm Beach County. The stop is located on the outer curb, Level One and route maps can be found inside on Level One.

If you are departing from Palm Beach Airport then once you have checked in there is a small selection of shops, bars and restaurants in the main terminal (level 2) area before you go through security and on to the concourses. There is a delicatessen on concourse A: fast-food outlet, ice-cream and chocolate shop, snack bar and coffee shop on concourse B and a grill and bar and coffee shop are situated on concourse C. Shops include a newsagents, a toy store and PGA golf shop. There is a newsagents, gift shop and book store on both concourses B and C. The Travelers’ Service Centre on the second floor offers meeting rooms and business facilities, including fax, Internet and photocopying.

If you are leaving you car at the airport there are short and long term parking spaces at ground level adjacent to the terminal building . If there is no space left in the long term parking area it is recommended you use the park and ride facility, but this will add around 20 minutes to your check in schedule.
