But leave the restaurant as soon as you are finished eating. Most smokers or ex-smokers normally will tell you that cigarette was a sure thing after every meal as well as being a pleasurable moment. Sitting at the table socializing long after you have finished eating will only going to make you crave a cigarette more.
Many quitting smokers use a lot of mints, gum or other mouth drops to keep their mouths from craving cigarettes. While many smokers say it does not always work, it does lessen their desire to have any cigarette. Others just try to get their mind of smoking and find something else to do every time they feel a craving for cigarette.

Try to avoid go to some place like bars for a while after you have stop smoking. As you can not expect the world to change around you to help you, the best way to stop smoking is to do prevent things that will make you desire a cigarette.
