In the last few weeks we’ve introduced several new people to our business and they all have one thing in common - they want massive success, and they want it now.

They look at success in network marketing the way they might look at a steak on a plate at a fancy restaurant. It looks good and smells good, but how fast can you give it to me?

If only it were that simple.

If you want success in network marketing you’ve got to eat the network marketing elephant one bite at a time. It’s great to be excited about your new business, but it’s unrealistic to think that you can start a new business and quit your job in a few weeks.

Bite #1 Start your new business by getting in a money making mode immediately.

Far too many people study everything about their new network marketing opportunity before they ever start marketing their business. In 18 years in this industry we’ve never seen even one of those people make it.

Not one!

You don’t get paid based on what you know, you get paid based on what you do. If you don’t do anything you won’t make anything. Simple and easy to understand but very few people actually go to work.

They study. They think. They clean off their desk and they get ready to get ready.

A money making mode is exposing people to your opportunity and exposing people to your products or services. That’s what you get paid to do in network marketing.

You’re not going to make it to the top if you don’t get started right away because the fear factor sets in if you stop to think.

What will I say?

What if I don’t have all the answers?

What if this and what if that?

What if you are so caught up in learning all the answers that you never actually make any money?

If you’ve chosen the right upline they will know the answers to your questions and they will help you. They’re getting paid to help you and it’s in their best interest to help you, so lean on them.

If they can’t help you or won’t help, go upline until you find somebody who will help.

Even if you can’t find anybody to assist you, there’s still hope. You can become successful on your own, you just have to realize that it’s just going to be more difficult. Difficult, but not impossible.

You’re not going to eat the network marketing elephant in a bite or two, it’s just not going to happen. Start exposing people to your network marketing business and to your product or service.

Some people will say no and some will say yes, just be prepared for a lot more no’s during the early stages of your business. Start saying “so what” every time you hear a no.

Just keep exposing people to your opportunity and your products and some will say yes. Sure you’re going to feel lost in the beginning, we all do, but struggling for even a year or two in your network marketing business is still better than working hard for somebody else for the rest of your life.

After you’ve exposed 10 people to your business go find 100 more. Network marketing isn’t so hard when you break it down into little tiny pieces and then just repeat the process.

We were miserable and frustrated for a long time in this industry but then we found success and our lives are so much different.

One bite at a time. That’s how you eat the network marketing elephant.

It’s an awesome task in the beginning, but little by little it becomes easier and the bites go down quicker and the next thing you know life changing success is yours!
