The PSP has been out for a few years now and is a very popular handheld system. It is a great little gadget that can do a lot more than play games, but most people who have one use it mostly for gaming.

The firmware of your PSP is like its operating system. You might have to downgrade your PSP firmware in order to play some games - version 1.0 and 1.5 of the firmware made it easy to play downloaded games on your PSP.

If you want to check your firmware version, just go into the system settings and select the system information tab. Your firmware version will be displayed.

It is easy to play movies and music on your PSP with any firmware version, you just have to download them and transfer them and make sure they are PSP compatible. Good PSP game download sites often allow you to download movies and music for your PSP as well.

You’ll also be able to download games for older systems like SNES and Gameboy in most cases. The sites will show you how to do everything including running emulators for these systems on your PSP.

There are many PSP download sites, but you have to be careful which you sign up for. You might end up downloading viruses and spyware. Look for professional sites that are in business to make you satisfied as a customer.
