We all know that the key to running any successful online business is generating traffic so people can either buy your product or service. Most people will go out and get traffic, but still see little or no results. This happens because not all traffic is the same. You must generate targeted traffic that is specific to what your business is. Once you find your targeted traffic it is then only a matter of cranking up your advertising.

A major problem though is not everyone has thousands of dollars to dump into heavy marketing. That is why I have developed some very cost effective marketing methods that not only allow you to market on a low budget, but also will get you targeted traffic.

The first marketing method is simple and anyone with any skill level can do it. The method is called article marketing. If you can set a goal to write at least three or five articles a week for two straight months and submit them to at least ten article directories you will start generating targeted traffic.

The key to article marketing is keeping up with it, and writing articles around your targeted market. This is a well known method, and people use it daily to help build traffic. This traffic method is free so it will not burn a hole in your pocket.

Our next marketing method is video marketing. To make some videos all you will have to do is make a small investment for a webcam. Then simply record your self talking about stuff that deals with what you do online. Make it a goal of yours to record three or five videos a week for two months.

After your finish recording your videos simply upload them to sites like YouTube so they become viral and everyone can see them. Again this marketing method can generate you a lot of targeted traffic, and will help get your name out there.

Finally our last marketing method that will not cost you a dime is traffic exchanges. Most traffic exchanges will allow you to make a free account with them. Join at least five traffic exchanges and earn credits in each one every day. Do this for a week, and you will get a steady flow of traffic to your website.

Now follow the above methods until you get some money flowing in, and then when you feel the time is right and you are ready for bigger and better things invest into a google adwords course and take it from there.
