Many amongst my friends, as well as some of my relatives, have been asking me how I’ve become familiar with concrete polishing. To that, I simply reply with the truth; I’m good with the internet search engines. As long as I have a vague idea of what I need, chances are I will find it in record time. Simply put, internet-savvy is something that I learned to do as a survival skill in this day and age.
But, I really shouldn’t be talking about myself. I am here, instead, to talk about concrete polishing and how it’s a stylish option for your home. I’ve personally had polished concrete at home for awhile now, and it still amazes me to this day. I am happy that I had my concrete floor polished.
Polished concrete provides a floor that has amazing luster, and as I can personally attest, people can’t help but talk about it when they visit. Some of the uninformed will even mistake your polished, concrete floor for marble tiling; in such a case, explain to them that you do not need marble to achieve this polish.
Concrete is a very practical type of floor design as well. The cost for having my concrete floor polished was about the same as the cost that I would have spent on brittle ceramic tiles. Add to that the longevity of the concrete polish itself. I do not have to pay for maintenance very often. All I have to do is sweep occasionally. Polished, concrete floors just stay shiny.
Lastly, you’d probably want to consider color for your polished concrete floor. When I had mine done, I asked the contractor to have it in coffee tones, as it would complement the rest of the house well. Many specific tints are possible; my friend even had multiple colors tinted in his own concrete floor.
